bio | Anja Isabel Schneider studied American literature in Los Angeles (UCLA) and Tübingen (Eberhard Karls Universität), as well as art history and curating in London (The Courtauld Institute of Art; Goldsmiths College). Currently she is a PhD candidate in Curatorial Research at M HKA, Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst Antwerpen/KU Leuven (Lieven Gevaert Research Centre for Photography, Art and Visual Culture), and a member of the research team Art Against the Grain of “Collective Sisyphus”: The Case of Allan Sekula’s Ship of Fools / The Dockers’ Museum (2010-2013). She has participated in numerous international research projects and curatorial residencies. In 2011, she was the laureate of the 4th edition of MARCO/Frac Lorraine Award for Young Curators.
